Tourism Board (KTB) is a State Corporation mandated to market Kenya’s diverse
tourism products that offer both locals and visitors enriched tourism

Procurement
Manager
The
position of the Procurement Manager requires be filled by a qualified Kenyan
who will be able to review, up-date, interpret and implement existing
procurement regulations, procedures and systems; prepare and ensure
implementation of the procurement manual, oversee stock control verifications
and ensure efficient disposal of stores at KTB.
- Develop
and implement KTB’s Procurement strategies and policies
- Provide
strategic direction for procurement innovation to optimize KTB‘s
competitive advantage both locally and internationally
- Ensure
adherence to the Public Procurement & Asset Disposal Act 2015
- Co-ordinate
the development of KTB’s Annual Procurement and Asset Disposal plans in
line with the Act
- Oversee
the procurement function to ensure that all procurement is undertaken as
per laid down laws, rules and regulations as may be issued from time to time
vide circulars from relevant Ministries
- Ensure
timely and efficient implementation of procurement strategy and Annual
Work Plans (AWP) and ensure that departmental performance targets are set
and achieved
- Ensure
that KTB’s procurements and disposals are conducted in accordance with the
law and ensure the preparation and submission of procurement reports to
PPRA as required
- Oversee
the maintenance and safeguarding of procurement records and documents
- Oversee
stores management
- Carry
out periodic market surveys to determine and inform the placing of orders
and adjudication
- Monitor
contract management by user departments to ensure implementation of
contracts in accordance with terms and conditions of the contract
- Enforce
transparency and accountability in the procurement process to ensure value
for money;
- Ensure
full implementation of the Quality Management System within the
Procurement unit;
- Prepare
and manage the Procurement Unit budget
- Mentor,
coach and provide leadership to the Procurement Unit team.

Key
Qualifications and Experience
The
ideal candidate must possess the following
- Bachelor’s
degree in Procurement / Business Administration
- Relevant
Professional qualification and membership of recognized bodies such as
KISM or CIPS
- Post
Graduate diploma in purchasing and supply chain management
- A
Masters degree will be an added advantage
- 5
years’ experience with at least 3 years at senior management level.
Assistant
Procurement Manager
The
position of the Assistant Procurement Manager requires to be filled by a
qualified Kenyan who will be responsible for acquisition of goods, services and
works to enable KTB meet its various objectives.
Key
Responsibilities
- Maintain
and update an annual list of pre-qualified suppliers for various goods
& services
- Work
with users to receive briefs on technical specifications and prepare
procurement documents as required
- Prepare
Local Purchase Orders and Local Supply Orders
- Prepare,
publish and distribute procurement and disposal documents including
invitations to tender and prequalification documents
- Coordinate
receiving, opening and evaluation of procurements documents
- Maintain
records for various procurement activities
- Ensure
certification of invoices and payment vouchers
- Conduct
periodic and annual stock taking
- Ensure
timely delivery of goods and services

Key
