We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our growing Kenya / Somalia programme. 

The post holder will support the delivery of a UK-funded project to promote dialogue aimed and addressing gender based violence in South Central Somalia including providing technical support to partners, coordination of activities,
research and data collection, liaison with local and regional authorities, accompaniment of activities across South Central Somalia and providing financial and monitoring & evaluation support to the country programme.
 
Educated to degree level (in a relevant subject), you will have at least 3 years’ experience of project managing for an INGO in South Central Somalia. 

You will have experience in workplanning, budget monitoring and staff management and experience of working in complex and politically-sensitive contexts with excellent political judgement.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to maintain a positive attitude to work even when under stress. 

You will have a ‘can-do’, solution-oriented, customer-focused attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). 

You will be well organised and with a good attention for detail, able to lead a team to operate efficiently and at improved professional standards.
