Program Manager Job in UG - NGO

A fast rising NGO whose primary mission is accelerating economic development in emerging economies is seeking to recruit a Program Manager to be based in Kampala, Uganda. 

The successful candidate MUST be of Ugandan nationality.

In addition, it is highly desirable that the candidate has worked in a vocational training and skilling sector and has experience setting up projects from scratch.

Key Responsibilities;
  • Project management of the skills development program.
  • Be connected to designated points of contact with the industry – companies and associations to facilitate an industry driven program.
  • Monitor results, including placements of trained students or self employment of the same.
  • Help identify the needs and define the goals and scope of the program with clear roles and deliverables of the entities involved.
  • Liaison with all parties involved, ensuring common understanding and that deliverables meet the requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years experience with at least 3 years in roles leading projects and people.
  • Experience should include interfacing with the private sector, government departments and other entities.
  • A Masters degree in business, social work or other equivalent degree.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong program management skills.
  • Highly presentable and pleasant.
  • Confident and able to interface with senior faculty/ industry experts/ education partners and government officials to derive results.
  • Worked  in  vocational  training  and  skilling  sector;  exposure  to  the  education structures  and  systems  in Uganda. 
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 100,000 - 140,000/= (Approx. 1,000 - 1,400 USD) depending on experience
