As a result of growth, we are seeking a suitable candidate to fill the following vacant position:

Loans Officer
 
Department: Credit
 

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Senior Loans Officer
 
Job Requirements: The incumbent is responsible for loans collection; follow up of loans in arrears, communicating with the members and guarantors on loans in arrears. 

He/she also prepares periodic collection and arrears reports and advises the Senior Loan Officer on ways to enhance related to collection

Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Provides continuous follow up to the members for their due payments and collection of payments. 
  • Makes calls, sends letters and records all form of correspondence to the members for monitoring purposes. 
  • Ensures payments from customers are collected promptly and as due comes. 
  • Conducts proper follow up on pending payment collections with members. 
  • Arranges and conducts meeting with the members to ensure good clientele relation and to assure collection can be made when due date comes 
  • Provides accurate reporting of aging report and outstanding loan position. 
  • Prepares monthly arrears reports. 
  • Liaison & visit new employers for defaulters for loan recovery 
  • Visit members in organizations facing project closure. 
  • Marketing the society.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum KSCE C plain 
  • Degree in Co-operative Management, Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
Skills and Desired Qualities:
  • Proficiency in computer skills and computer applications
  • A person of integrity, team player and have effective communication skills.
  • A good team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills, outgoing personality, and ability to work independently and effectively under pressure and on strict deadlines and in a multicultural setting.
Experience:
  • Three (3) years relevant experience

Senior Marketing Officer
 
Department: Marketing and Customer Care
 
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Chief Executive Officer
 

Position Summary: To undertake marketing activities towards growing Society membership, develop competitive products for members and carry out product awareness campaigns, all geared to growing Society’s profitability and capital.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • To monitor implementation of the Society’s strategic plan as relates to his department 
  • Identify market niches and craft appropriate strategies for reaching existing and potential members in the Society 
  • Identify target and potential markets and design ways to consistently communicate the brand and products in all marketing activities 
  • Conduct Marketing activities based on knowledge of the customers segments and target market, so as to deliver products and services that satisfy the market segments 
  • Develop and implement appropriate communication and public relations strategies 
  • Oversee the design, execution, and communication of primary marketing research studies to evaluate specific performance, SACCO positioning, competitive positioning and customer profiling as well as managing the analysis and interpretation of secondary research data to provide direction for strategic plans 
  • To keep alert to competitive forces and marketing practices and to keep the management advised on ways to counter them 
  • To ensure that customer service is administered in accordance with SACCO policy, in a mutually beneficial manner, to ensure lasting goodwill between the SACCO and all relevant stakeholders
  • To design and develop product and services that will satisfy various market segments based on market research findings. 
  • Manage publications including but not limited to writing speeches, annual accounts, periodic newsletters, brochures, etc. 
  • Provide team leadership within the department through professional staff performance management. 
  • Motivate, manage, and set targets, monitor performance of the sales team and other staff in the department. 
  • The Senior Marketing Officer will provide guidance and advise to his team on how to conduct effective marketing processes to contribute to improving public awareness of the Sacco.
Necessary Qualifications and Skills:
 
Qualifications: 
  • A university degree in marketing, or in business administration (marketing) or its equivalent
  • Professional training in marketing and public relations. 
  • Membership with a professional body MSK/CIM will be an added advantage.
Skills and Desired Qualities: 
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills 
  • Innovative and ability to work independently. 
  • Strong communication and report writing skills. 
  • Self-driven, self-starter, team player and results-oriented. 
  • Sound ICT Skills. 
  • Leadership skills
Experience: 
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience 
  • Experience in the financial services sector is an added advantage 

Marketing Officer
 
Department: Marketing & Customer care
 
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Senior Marketing Officer
 

Job Requirements: The Marketing Officer is responsible, under the direct supervision of the Senior Marketing Officer, for the administration of all assigned account relationships and for the development of new business for the Sacco

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze potential loan members and develop referral networks in order to locate prospects for loans and deposits.
  • Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
  • Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
  • Advising members on loan eligibility
  • Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit, and savings options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
  • Work with clients to identify their financial goals and to find ways of reaching those goals.
  • Market Sacco’s products to individuals and firms and meet customers' needs.
  • Handle customer feedback and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Qualifications:
  • KCSE Grade C plain.
  • A university degree in marketing, or in business related fields or its equivalent

ICT Officer
 
Department: ICT
 
Reporting Structure: Reports to the ICT Manager
 

Job Requirements: The ICT Officer shall be responsible for effective operation, support, security and continual improvement of existing business applications, computer hardware and networks.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To contribute to the smooth operation of the Sacco’ ICT network and other ICT equipment, as directed by the ICT Manager. This includes commissioning new equipment, repairing and maintaining existing equipment such as desktop PCs, laptops, printers, monitors, projectors, servers, switches and other computer equipment. 
  • Provide technical support to system users. 
  • Maintain the ICT equipment register, to provide a detailed analysis of equipment replacement needs and central ICT resourcing. 
  • To install and configure software as required by staff and where this is new software to ensure that it is appropriately licensed. 
  • To uphold all Sacco’s policies, especially those regarding ICT. 
  • To update the website & ensure it is interactive with updated content as directed by the ICT Manager 
  • To carry out other tasks as reasonably directed by the ICT Manager.
Necessary Qualifications and Skills:
 
Qualifications:

  • Degree in ICT, IMIS, Telecommunication or any ICT related fields
  • Certification in web design and any IT related fields will be an added advantage
