Role: Soko is seeking a Technical Project Manager also known as Computer and Information Systems Managers, Technical Project Managers play an essential role in various organizations. 

Requiring a balance between managerial duties and advanced technological skills, project managers are integral to our project development and success. 

You will need to be able to work with other department managers to meet the company's technological and project goals, creating software, defining dependencies and use cases, and designating tasks to employees for a smooth operation. 

Strict deadlines and long hours are part of technical project manager jobs, and individuals need to have flexibility and open communication at all times while working within strict budgets. 

Managers need to be able to review and determine the feasibility of project proposals and assist in scoping new initiatives, translating business goals to the technology team and defining the technology capacity to fit the timelines at hand.

Tasks:
  • Lead roadmap planning
  • Requirements gathering, including use case development
  • Translate high level business requirements into technical planning
  • Collaborate with Technology Lead on scoping for all projects
  • Communicate & manage timelines across departments
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Ensure quality Assurance for Audit, Risk and Governance across all technology related projects.
  • To engage collaboratively with project stakeholders to ensure appropriate prioritisation of delivery.
Educational Requirements:
 
As a technical project manager you need to have a bachelor's degree in information or computer sciences as well as previous work experience in a related field. 

It is required you have earned a graduate degree and 5 years work experience; and can prove a proficiency in computer and business administration. 

You will be required to be knowledgeable in various technologies, such as customer relationship management, development environment, and Web platform development software.

Skills / Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and presentation experience;
  • PMP qualification or Project Management certification desired.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software and issue tracking softwares such as JIRA or Redmine 
  • Experienced in using Source Control (SVN/Git).
  • Significant experience of designing and developing web solutions using open source technologies, including Linux, HTML5, MySQL, Python, CSS, XHTML, Javascript Frameworks, Architecture Experience, & web Development 
  • Proven experience of Web Services integrations via API’s (Rest)
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Be highly organized and a good multi-tasker.
  • Take charge and know how to lead.
  • Be an effective communicator.
  • Be detail-oriented.
