Aga Khan University Graduate School of Media & Communications (AKU-GSMC) is
the first of its kind in Sub Saharan Africa.

Assistant
Professor / Senior Lecturer
Reporting
to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, the Assistant Professor will be
responsible for developing and implementing courses in broadcast and multimedia
production within the Graduate School of Media and Communication (GSMC).
As
part of the GSMC team, the successful applicant will plan, design, develop and
teach courses in broadcast and multi-media production across the Professional
Development and Continuing Education and Masters’ programmes as well as
coordinate and administer courses / programmes as required.
The incumbent will deliver lectures, design and conduct case studies, seminars, workshops, consultancies and other formal and informal learning activities.
Part Time Lecturers
The school wishes to recruit part-time teaching staff to complement the existing full-time faculty to teach into its proposed Master of Arts in Digital Journalism programme.
The
successful applicants will be part of a team that will work towards imparting
specialised knowledge, practical and technical oriented skills with an aim of
producing well-rounded graduates who exhibit the AKU Advantage and who will
have a competitive edge in the job market.
The school is looking for talented individuals with current and relevant industry and academic experience in the following areas: Media Law & Ethics; Photojournalism and Visual Communication; Data Journalism; Media Management; Broadcast and Digital Media Production; and Media Entrepreneurship.
