Job Description 

Responsibilities will include supporting the Africa Internet Group on all legal and regulatory issues across East Africa, including: 
  • Drafting of and review of contracts with partners and suppliers 
  • Assistance with HR compliance 
  • Conducting legal research 
  • Assisting with litigation or assertion efforts 
  • Licensing efforts 
  • Ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies 
  • Developing policies, processes and manuals around compliance 
  • Providing advice and guidance on legal risk exposure 
Minimum Educational Requirements: 
  • Law Degree and graduate from the Kenya School of Law
  • Holder of a valid Practicing Certificate 
  • Holder of CPS (K) will be an added advantage 
Required Experience: 
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a corporate/commercial law environment in East Africa
  • Admitted Advocate with a good understanding of East Africa Law 
Required Skills & Competencies: 
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, Swahili 
  • Action and results oriented 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Strong inter-personal skills: Convince the people and your team that you are making the right decisions 
  • Well organized 
  • Resistant to stress 
  • Very independent with a strong ability to go further than the expectations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to understand new technologies with ability to communicate with the technical community
  • Being able to prioritize daily tasks
  • Corporate Governance management skills.
