Jovago is looking for a Global Public Relations Assistant to work within our central team in Africa (Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Senegal…) and Asia (Pakistan, Myanmar and Bangladesh).

The role is to support the PR & Marketing Department in development and delivery of the digital marketing and PR strategy. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support and assist PR activity teams in Africa and Asia
  • Build a strong network of media partners
  • Increase Jovago’s brand awareness
  • Write relevant articles for the media (3 articles per week minimum, including press release &  articles)
  • Create infographics and engaging content with the design team
  • Organize PR events and interviews
  • Report on PR activities – follow-up our PR process, tracking and reporting
  • Proof-read content
Minimum Educational Requirements: Diploma or Degree in communications, journalism or any other relevant fields

Required Experience:
 At least two years previous experience in Public Relations or Journalism

Required Skills & Competencies:
  • Fluency in English
  • A commendable media network
  • Independent and resourceful
  • Strong drive and leadership qualities
  • Impeccable communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Africa and passion for travel, media and tech industry
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to multi-task and meet demanding targets
  • High level of motivation, determination and commitment.
  • Skillful in content creation, as well as copy-writing and proof-reading
The successful candidate will report to the Global Head of Public Relations based in Paris.
