FIDA Kenya seeks to recruit a
suitable candidate for the following positions:
1. Human Resources & Administration
Officer - Nairobi
Duties:-
- Manage recruitment process and employee
orientation
- Management and updating of personnel files
- Conduct interviews and share feedback with
Senior Management
- Provide Human resource advice to team leaders
and management & formulate and implement human resources policies and
procedures
- Manage the staff medical scheme and other
relevant insurances.
- Ensures work place safety; clean and conducive
working environment for all Staff, clients and visitors
- Oversees the regular servicing, repairs and
proper usage of office equipment by users
- Oversees day to day administration processes
for effective support to operations and service delivery.
- Provide logistical support in planning of the
Results Based Management, Mid & End Year Review meetings
- Manage procurement process of the
organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource; or Business
Administration major in Human Resources
- Member of accredited HR professional body
- 5 years’ relevant experience in Human Resource
Management.
- Experience in NGO sector is an added
advantage.
2. Senior Legal Counsel (to
be based in the Kisumu Office serving Western regions and parts of Rift Valley)
Duties:-
- Oversee the implementation of all the Access
to Justice Programmes (Legal Representation, Pro bono Lawyers Scheme,
Mediation, Counseling, Self- Representation, Strategic Interest Litigation
and Informal Justice Systems) within the region.
- Approve draft pleadings and prepare pleadings
and court documents on behalf of clients
- Represent clients in courts within the region
- Conduct research and prepare pleadings in
Strategic Impact Litigation cases
- Liaison with other NGOs, Government
departments and relevant bodies in gender related issues at regional,
continental and international levels
- Make interventions and petitions on behalf of
the public in gender related issues including press briefings
- Oversee the implementation of Women &
Governance programmes that are linked the Secretariat and those at the
regional level
- Monitor and evaluate regional programmes and
activities (prepare and oversee the preparation of team’s work plans,
result based management reports, monthly team reports and donor reports)
Minimum Qualifications and
Attributes:
The ideal candidate should at least
posses the following qualifications and attributes:-
- An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
- Minimum of 5 years post admission to the bar
with a minimum of 2 years at supervisory level
- Knowledge of program planning, designing,
monitoring & evaluation and financial management skills
- Experience in NGO sector is an added advantage
3. Client Services Officer / Counsellor - Mombasa
Duties:-
- Screening of new clients, recording clients
details in client forms and ensuring safe keeping of the details
- Providing information on FIDA Kenya services
offered to the visiting public.
- Maintaining client’s database and reviewing on
regular basis feedback from clients.
- Organizing mediation sessions
- Developing and continually reviewing
guidelines for counseling services in conjunction with the Counseling
Supervisor.
- Providing group, couple counseling and
individual therapy.
- Facilitating debriefing sessions for Access to
Justice Team- Mombasa Office.
Qualifications
- Degree in Counselling Psychology
- 3 years experience in Counseling
- Training in Mediation/Reconciliation skills
- Experience in NGO sector is an added
advantage.
