Duma Works is recruiting a Team Assistant for an International company that designs, builds
and operates renewable energy-based micro-grids within rural villages in
Tanzania.

This role is mainly to support the
Country Manager and the Tanzanian team for ongoing operational activities and
during their efforts to grow and expand.
They need someone who is flexible in
their job and looking to take on varied and wide variety of activities.

themselves and the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for office management including
things like keeping stationary stocked up, printer functioning
- Organisation of events e.g. conference venue
booking, lunch ordering etc.
- Responds to enquiries to the office and
provides information to third parties under the direction of the Country
Manager
- Manages the petty cash box for the office and
closes the box weekly with the accountant.
- Responsible for ad-hoc administrative duties
such as posting of documents, setting of appointments and obtaining of
permits.
- Assists in the logistical organisation of
field trips
- Assists in advertisement of future positions
and scheduling of interviews
- Takes part in procurement processes as
required by “team assistant” role.
- Coordinates printing of marketing material.
- Performs ad-hoc translation of soft material
- Manages petty procurement (such as office
furniture, battery liquid etc)
- Monitors expenditures and compares with
approved budgets
- Drafts routine correspondence to respond to
enquiries in respect to relevant administrative, financial audit,
personnel and recruitment matters.
- Performs other ad-hoc administrative duties as
required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Competent in computer use, in particular
Microsoft Excel
- Fluency in oral and written English and
Kiswahilli required.
- At least 3 years’ experience in administrative
or bookkeeping duties
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to
work in a multi-cultural environment
- Effective organisation skills and ability to
meet timely deadlines.
- Masters/MBA students are highly encouraged to
apply
