Our Client is seeking to engage a
dynamic Group Head of Procurement who will have the vision and
leadership ability to take the procurement role into a new and exciting phase
of its development as part of the senior management team.
Span of Control: Assistant Head of Procurement, Store Keeper, Distribution Clerks and Admin Assistant
The primary role is coordinating the
procurement and supply chain support activities at the organization level, for
all its subsidiaries and adding value to the activities at the country level to
ensure that products & services are procured and supplied in a timely and
very cost effective manner with least inventory.
- To support in coordination in the procurement
& supply chain management function of all Organizations subsidiaries
so that there is significant savings in the direct material cost.
- To put a procurement directive in place
covering the step by step procedure of the procurement process.
- Responsible for procurement process, method
& tools.
- Manage the external spend of the
organization’s group of companies.
- Leverage the volumes and keep a unified
interface towards suppliers
- Secure full ownership of the material and
services in all the subsidiaries including project stations in managing
stocks control.
- To maintain a complete and updated database
and to manage identification, negotiation and selection of
vendors/suppliers.
- To manage and follow up the approved vendor
portfolio.
- To work on cost reduction measures
- To ensure compliance with statutes and also
various policy guidelines of the organization.

Academic Qualifications
- A Degree in purchasing & supplies
management or a related field from a recognized institution
- A Master’s degree in procurement & logistics
or MBA in strategic management from a recognized institution will be an
added advantage.
- Professional certification in supply chain
Management
- A member of a relevant professional body
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in a
recognized institution and 3 years in a similar position.
- Should have exposure to multi country
procurement activity, international procurement and shipment.
- Track record of achievements in previous
engagements
- Candidates with experience in the service
industry preferred.
