Job Description: Jovago is looking for a Cash Collector - Intern to
assist the Finance Team in collection of amounts of overdue debts from specific
customers.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Following up on outstanding debts to ensure
that debts are settled within the allocated credit terms
- Negotiating payment plans with debtors
- Resolving debt related queries and disputes
- Regular follow up of all outstanding debts for
specific customer accounts
- Ensure that collections are done in a timely
manner
- Daily management of debts and collections
- Full accountability of all allocated accounts
- Meeting weekly and monthly targets
- Other related roles as may be allocated from
time to time
- Report to Operational Finance Manager with
updated accounts receivables and work together to devise payment schedule
and strategy
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce – Finance or
Accounting will be an added advantage
- Minimum of CPA II
Required Experience:
- At least 1 year experience in debt collection
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Fluency in English
- Demonstrated good communication, data analysis
and numerical skills
- Hands on Credit control experience
- Result oriented, self-motivated and energetic
- Computer literacy and good knowledge of
accounting packages
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight
deadlines
- Should be a team player
- Strong influencing and communications skills,
demonstrable experience of sales/negotiation/persuasion in a challenging
environment
