Summary: Based in Ruiru, Our client Redlands Roses is one of
the leading in growing and sale of roses to export markets.
The company is currently looking to
recruit a Chief Store Keeper who reports
directly to the Senior Accountant and in his absence to the Head of Finance and
Administration.
Purpose of the Job
- Monitor the incoming and outgoing stocks or
products and produce the daily, weekly and monthly reports for controlling
purposes.
- Participate in all stock take and generate
stock take reports.
- Ensure all items stored in the company are
safeguarded, kept in order and clean.
- Supervision of the stores team in discharge of
their responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and issuing of goods according to
company standards using SUN SYSTEM; monitoring of the stocks level on
daily basis and advise accordingly
- Clean and organize the stores daily including
main store, containers, archives, PPE, Ferti, Canteen, and IPM Stores
among others
- To participate in stock take including fixed
assets and PPE’s every month and as when required by management and
process reports as per company procedures. Analyze differences
between stock take report and SUN stock balances.
- Carry on daily basis the closing down of all
stores building/ offices making sure that all the keys are locked in the
key safe before handing over the key set to the chief security in
charge. Ensure monthly an updated list of all company keys and
ensure the list of approval to the Chief Accountant
- In the absence of the stores accountant update
daily all the records in the stores requisition note books and goods received
note books (GRN) making sure that all the stock record are indicated,
check coding and get it approved daily by Senior Accountant.
- Receive goods and checking the arrival
condition with staff from technical dept, expiry dates and seals of the
goods. After clarifying the packing list against the LPO. Sign the
delivery note, record it in the registrar and forward to the stores
accountant.
- Carry on daily basis tools and equipment
issues /receipt, updating the database in ACCESS as per their return
condition.
- Generate monthly report on the same for
approval of Senior Accountant
- Check on daily basis the cleaning and
condition of tools and equipment before receiving them back to the store
and report on the same to the Senior Accountant weekly.
- Maintain and update the filing standards of
the company.
- Keep the dead and live archives
bar-coded.
- Ensure cleaning of archives and stores,
process monthly the stores live and dead files scanned report.
- Attend to environmental audits of the
company.
- In this regard, the successful person will be
expected to participate and support any committee for Internal Auditors,
Health and Safety, First Aiders, Fires Marshall, Welfare and Sacco so to
recreate understanding and knowledge on the set requirements.
Produce accurate reports (daily work plan, weekly and monthly report) in particular on generate weekly costing reports to be approved by Chief Accountant every Tuesdays. - Preparation of the stores shift schedule and
ensure it is signed by the Chief Accountant weekly.
- Review of KPI’s for all store keepers
Qualifications & Background
- Diploma in Supplies and Stores Management
- 4 years experience in a similar position with
clean and track record (integrity)
