Suraya Property Group Limited, one of
the leading and fast growing Real Estate Development Companies in Kenya is
undertaking and plans to undertake major development projects ranging from
master planning, scheme design, detail design, supervision, services designs and
other construction related activities in projects spread in a number of
Counties and Cities in Kenya.
In order for the above objectives in
development to be realized, Suraya is encouraging the interested and qualified
applicants to express their individual interest for the positions listed below
for consideration:
Project Accountants
Job brief: We are looking for a qualified accountant to handle prepare, compute, manage, research and analyze all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of our business.
Qualifications for Project Accountants Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or
relevant field with at least CPA(K).
- Proficient in use of accounting software and
wide exposure to all accounting aspects
- Knowledge of accepted standard accounting
principles and their applications.
- Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel and
Modeling)
- Experience with a real estate developer
- Good leadership, interpersonal and management
skills.
- High level of integrity, values and
professional ethics.
- You must be well organized, have excellent
attention to detail and accuracy
- At Least 4 years working experience in busy
accounting department.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to work with minimum or no supervision
- Ability to meet set targets and timely
deadlines
- Flexible to adapt to changing work conditions
and assignment
General accounting requirements
including but not restricted to:
- Providing timely project cost comparison
between actual and budget to management to help in decision making.
- Maintaining proper accounting records for
income, expenditure, assets and liabilities of the project company.
- Maintaining proper accounting records for
Accounts Payable and dealing with supplier’s statement and general ledger
reconciliation.
- Maintaining proper accounting records for
Accounts Receivable and dealing with customer’s statement and general
ledger reconciliation.
- Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly
reports and projects progress summary.
- Carrying out stock and maintain proper
inventory records
- Keep the management aware of all financial
transactions at all times.
- Work closely with the sales team to match the
financial position with the sales position.
- Any other related duties required by the
Management from time to time
Note: Applicant must be registered, active and practicing
members of their respective professional bodies recognized in Kenya.
