Job Title: 
Data Analyst

The Data Analyst role is critical in strengthening the company’s Business Intelligence and Analytics capabilities. 


The primary responsibilities of the role are to ensure the proper monitoring and evaluation of key financial and performance metrics and to generate actionable insights that lead to significant revenue generation and/or cost reduction. 

This position will report to the Senior Data Analyst

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
 
Business Intelligence
·                     Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management-level consumption.
·                     Enable internal teams to monitor and track their key performance indicators (KPIs).
·                     Consult with internal teams to influence their strategic decisions and KPIs
·                     Ensure data quality and accuracy
·                     Continuously drive reporting improvements and identify process deficiencies
Analytics
·                     Identify the root cause of data trends and outliers
·                     Develop and run queries to pull/transform data from multiple sources
·                     Respond to data requests from various internal departments as needed to drive business value
·                     Develop and drive analytical work streams that will directly lead to significant revenue generation and/or cost reduction.
Collaboration within the Data Team
·                     Contribute to the maintenance of data analysis tools and processes
·                     Contribute to data policy development and regulation
Improving Internal Analytical Capabilities
·                     Continuously evaluate and suggest new technologies to enhance team analytics
·                     Deepen individual and team analytical abilities
·                     Improve individual and team proficiency with analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, R, and Tableau

·                     95% of high priority data requests completed on time

Maintenance of Business Intelligence Reports
·                     All reports are created and maintained to the management team’s satisfaction

Analytical Value Generation
·                     Completion of analytical work streams that drive at least 1,500,000 KES in present value to the business
Desired Skills and Experience
·                     Quantitative degree in computer science, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or an equivalent
·                     2+ years experience in an analytical role with increasing levels of responsibility
·                     Knowledge and working experience in SQL and Relational Databases
·                     Knowledge and working experience in Microsoft Excel
·                     Experience in statistical software such as MATLAB, Octave, R, SAS, or STATA
·                     Experience in creating and communicating PowerPoint Presentations
·                     Working knowledge of VBA and/or Tableau preferred

Merchant Engagement Executive

Full-Time: 
Nairobi, Kenya

The Merchant Engagement Executive will be driving marketing campaigns for existing products, new products that need to be piloted and maintain relationships with existing merchants. 


As a marketing expert, the Merchant Engagement Executive will ensure that the company is getting appropriate feedback on products through merchant visits, calls and automated processes. 

As a champion for efficiency, the Merchant Engagement Executive will determine best practices for both communicating to large groups of merchants and getting specific feedback while maintaining a lasting, professional relationship with the merchant.

Responsibilities
·                     Designing, implementing and/or automating merchant calls for products such as BCA, SMS marketing, web app usage and android app usage
·                     Merchant calls/gathering feedback for all merchants 30 days after account creation
·                     Design merchant surveys for product feedback and track progress via daily/weekly/monthly reports
·                     Maintain a monthly net expansion revenue for existing merchants per KPI
·                     Surface opportunities to improve the product and merchant experience based on gathered merchant feedback
Desired Skills & Experience
·                     Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
·                     2+ years’ experience in account management
·                     Detailed oriented and data driven
·                     Passion for enthusiasm for technology and serving the merchant with a world-class customer service

Summary: The Business Development & Partnership Manager, based in Nairobi, leads both business development activities and project management/relationship management for existing and new partnerships.
 

Business development
·                     This senior position will provide strategic leadership in business development in order to maintain a healthy, productive client pipeline of new business. 
·                     The role also includes day to day management of all sales activities, including management of outside sales professionals and partners, to ensure Kopo Kopo meets all revenue targets.
Partnership management
·                     From the day a deal with a new partner has been closed, the Business development & Partnership Manager oversees the project management activities. 
·                     Once the service is live you will support the partner in driving usage of the service.
Business Development responsibilities
·                     Develop BD strategy and plan in line with the Kopo Kopo long term strategy
·                     Develop new partnerships in new and existing markets,
·                     Upsell products with existing partners (e.g. in Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe)
·                     Develop, implement and run processes from prospecting through deal signing
·                     Maintain high quality standards for proposals, business cases, commercial frameworks
·                     Manage business development and pricing process (e.g. proposals, business case building, commercial frameworks and contracts)
·                     Manage contract negotiations with input as needed from Kopo Kopo legal and executive teams
Partnership management responsibilities
·                     Oversee project management activities of the technical and business work streams
·                     Coordinate engagement activities to ensure a good uptake of the implemented service, e.g. weekly and monthly reporting, incident management, business and market advice
·                     Stakeholder relationship management of all partners involved e.g. acquiring partners, MNOs, PRSPs
General Responsibilities
·                     Maintain a professional and effective communication to all levels, stimulating initiatives, innovations, and motivation for continuous improvements
·                     Represent Kopo Kopo when directed at conferences, meetings, corporate reviews, committees and working groups, sales opportunities, marketing initiatives or other such ideas as conditions present
