HR Assistant Job in Nairobi Kenya

Our client, a trading company with retail stores dealing in sales & supplies of computer equipment and accessories, is seeking a HR generalist to fill the position of Human Resource Assistant.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Oversee recruitment and staff onboarding activities
  • Advise management accordingly on HR matters
  • Oversee HR planning, HR cost management and control
  • Oversee and advise on staff welfare programs and schemes
  • Payroll management and statutory returns
  • Oversee training and development activities
  • Manage performance management plans, reviews and improvement.
  • Employee relations management
  • Manage disciplinary issues
  • Prepare and submit timely HR reports to management
Requirements & Skills
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources (HR) or related
  • At least 3 years continuous HR experience in a busy organization and managing many employees
  • HR generalist skills preferred
  • Membership with a professional body
  • Good understanding of Kenya Labour Laws and Acts affecting Human Resource management
  • Possess excellent computer, Ms. office and HRMIS skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-driven with people skills
  • Mature and organized with excellent planning skills
