Stores Officer Job in Kenya

Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) is a non-profit organization headquartered in Kisumu dedicated to improving the reproductive health of men and women. 

NRHS has a variety of research projects, it runs support groups for PLWHA and MARPS, and it works with the Ministry of Health in scaling up male circumcision as HIV prevention measure. 

Job Title:
 Stores Officer
 
Location: Kisumu
 
Reporting to:  Head of Finance
 

Job Description:
  • Exercise oversight over the main stores & small project stores within NRHS jurisdiction across the counties.
  • Ensuring efficient and proper management of stores through monitoring stock levels of items to maintain minimum reorder levels.
  • Maintenance/updating of NRHS asset registers
  • Periodically undertake stock counts in close liaison with the supervisor and generate reports as required.
  • Recommend to Management slow moving and expired stocks for appropriate action. Ensure compliance with procurement and Disposal Act.
  • Receive goods from suppliers and document the same as required.
  • Issuance of goods to NRHS staff and ensure proper documentation as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management from a recognized Institution
  • 4 years hands on experience in a busy procurement/stores section
  • Possession of professional CIPS final certificate will be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience working in the health sector
  • Hands on experience in using ERP system or QuickBooks
  • Registered /membership with KISM/CIPS
