Sightsavers, seeks to recruit an
experienced, self-driven, dynamic and results-oriented Technical Adviser to support
its Trachoma Elimination Program.
Reporting to the Global Behaviour
Change WASH Adviser, the incumbent will provide coordination, advisory and
technical support to all phases of the Super School of Five program under The
Trust and DFID funded trachoma elimination programmes.
The Technical Advisor will also work
with Unilever partners to ensure coordinated and on time delivery of materials
for all relevant aspects of the programme.
The successful candidate will be
required to:
- Support the development of a scale up plan for
3 other countries in the next 6 months
- Support and advise on the roll out of the
School of 5 Programme to the scale up countries
- Represent Sightsavers in their relationship
with Unilever on the ground
- Advise on and coordinate adaptations to
materials required for roll out in other countries
- Advise and support the Coordinating Partner in
liaising with the relevant ministries in each of the countries
The ideal candidate will be a Kenyan
national who possesses:
- A Higher degree in public health or
development
- Ability to think strategically and develop
effective action plans.
- Good communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to represent the organisation at
external bodies.
- Able to travel overseas for up to 40% of their
time.
- An understanding of and commitment to equality
of opportunity for disabled people.

Sightsavers, seeks to recruit an
experienced, self-driven, dynamic and results-oriented Program Adviser who is
keen to develop a career in a dynamic organisation and challenging environment.
Reporting to the Program Manager, ,
the incumbent will provide direct programme support on Behaviour Change &
Communication (BCC) to the Coordinating Partner, Sightsavers, in Kenya Trachoma
Elimination Programme funded by The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust both
in terms of project planning and implementation.
They will work in close collaboration
with the Trust Program Manager (Coordination) as well as implementing partners
and national and county authorities on technical support, trainings, and
development of materials and documents.

The successful candidate will be required to:
- Support the implementing partners with direct
program support to all aspects of the F & E components of the
programme .
- Working with relevant national and county
school authorities and local implementation partners to integrate trachoma
specific messages and program elements into the school sanitation and
hygiene activities
- To assist in the monitoring and evaluation of
ongoing F&E activities
The ideal candidate will be a Kenyan
national who possesses:
- Degree in the Social Sciences, Public Health
or other development related field
- Knowledge of behavioural change and
communication programming
- Field experience in working in behavior
change-WASH or NTDs and advantage
- Knowledge of NTDs and/or other health
interventions (an advantage)
