Job Title: Business Development Officer – Corporate Business Leadership Center
 
The Business Development Officer – Corporate Business Leadership Center (BDO-CBLC) shall be responsible for the creation of a Business Development strategy; developing organizational fundraising and corporate sponsorship capability; and support the development of an events strategy, including contributing to the promotion of CBLC’s external events and promotions.

Minimum Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Social Sciences from a recognized University.
  • Knowledge of client management, sales, project management, team and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of regional or global sustainability topics, trends and opportunities.
  • Proven expertise (3+ years) in business development from investor/client pitches, proposal writing, ongoing relationship building, and contract signing.
Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Officer
  • Market expansion strategy: Supporting the CBLC Director to develop and implement the center’s expansion strategy to ensure year on year growth.
  • In conjunction with the Director, to co-ordinate the implementation and delivery of the center’s business development strategy and business plan.
  • Technical proposal development: Maintaining and growing the center’s current leadership position amongst current clients and potential clients across markets by developing winning proposals.
  • Presentations and Trainings: BDO is expected to deliver any relevant sales / business-case presentations for various prospective clients alongside the CBLC Director. This will require proficiency and understanding of the business case for sustainability, communicating benchmarking, analysis and research in a comprehensive and concise manner.
  • Support the implementation and delivery of the center’s fundraising strategy ensuring income targets are secured.
  • Develop and maintain funding and sponsorship database ensuring personal contacts are proactively developed and maintained.
  • Product & Service Innovation: The BDO along with the CBLC Director should always be thinking of ways to innovate and package new products and services to be offered by CBLC, and to collectively decide on strategic projects to be launched within the center.
  • Ensure progress reports are compiled for the University’s Management Team and the CBLC Board.
  • To carry out administrative work generated by the above activities.
  • Perform any other duties as may be defined and assigned by the Supervisor

Job Title: Driver 
 
The Driver will support the transport and logistical aspects of the University.  

Minimum Requirements
  • KCSE Minimum D+
  • Valid Driving license & Valid PSV License
  • 5 years progressive experience
  • Knowledge of the traffic laws and highway codes.
  • Passed Suitability Test for Drivers Grade II
  • A valid Certificate of Good Conduct 
  • Excellent written and spoken English and a good communicator
  • A Certificate/Diploma in any relevant area an added advantage.

Job Title: Manager – EPH 
 
EPH (Evangel Publishing House) is a division of PAC University charged with handling Publications and running of the University Bookshop. 


The Manager EPH – shall be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the division through the development and implementation of sound financial and administrative policies and strategies in order to realize the University’s vision, mission and strategic objectives. 

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: an earned Master’s Degree in Business, Publishing or related area from a recognized institution, a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in relevant area or equivalent is an added advantage;
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in senior management level preferably in publications or publishing environment;
  • Having Scholarly publications is an added advantage
  • Demonstrated competence in administrative, financial management in an academic/research and publishing context;
  • Knowledge of book publishing (both print and Electronic) including knowledge of editorial, production, distribution, and advertising
  • Strong leadership skills that promote teamwork, growth and excellence;
  • Excellent ability to build strong working relationships throughout the University community and EPH stakeholders. 
  • A good understanding of the existing Government policies that guide publishing, finances, human resource, procurement and the general administration of the office;
  • A broad awareness of the factors and conditions that shape the development of the publishing industry and higher education in Kenya and beyond;
  • Understand and adhere to PAC University Statement of Faith.
Key Responsibilities for the Manager – EPH
  • Provide proactive financial and human resource management leadership, direction and supervision to EPH Staff;
  • Develop and implement all procurement, fiscal, human resource, administrative policies and appropriate procedures to ensure efficient performance and delivery of services in line with the EPH’s Business plan and the Strategic Plan; 
  • Ensure profitable publishing delivering returns, and effective running of the bookshop for a sustainable business.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, budgets, management reports and analysis for presentation to the Management Committee and the relevant Committee of Council for decision making;
  • Advise the Vice-Chancellor and the Management Committee on financial matters regarding the EPH;
  • Schedule and monitor progress of titles to ensure that books are published on time according to the Publishing plan.
  • Responsible for all EPH assets
  • Ability and qualified to teach at University level
  • Ensure adherence to all the University policies by all EPH Staff.

Job Title: Deputy Vice Chancellor – Finance and Administration
 
The DVC Finance and Administration shall be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Finance and Administration Division through the development and implementation of sound financial and administrative policies and strategies in order to realize the University’s vision, mission and strategic objectives and assist the Vice Chancellor in the administration of the University.


Minimum Requirements
  • Education: an earned Doctor of Philosophy Degree;
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in senior management level;
  • Demonstrated competence in administrative, financial and academic leadership in an academic/research context;
  • Strong leadership skills that promote dedication, growth and excellence;
  • Outstanding and internationally recognized scholarship and research record with publications in refereed journals, university level books, awards and recognitions;
  • Excellent ability to build strong working relationships throughout the University community;
  • A good understanding of the existing Government policies that guide finances, human resource and procurement;
  • A broad awareness of the factors and conditions that shape the development of higher education in Kenya and beyond;
  • Understand and adhere to PAC University Statement of Faith.
Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Vice Chancellor – Finance & Administration
  • Provide proactive financial and human resource management leadership, direction and supervision to students, Faculty and Staff;
  • Develop and implement all procurement, fiscal, human resource, administrative policies and appropriate procedures to ensure efficient performance and delivery of services in line with the University’s Business plan and the Strategic Plan;
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of appropriate human resource policies, procedures and systems to attract, develop and retain qualified and experienced human resource;
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, budgets, management reports and analysis for presentation to the University’s Management and University Council for Decision making;
  • Advise the Vice-Chancellor and the Management Committee on financial matters regarding the University;
  • Coordinate capital projects in a manner that respects the University budget and planning processes and complies with state and federal guidelines related to procurement and contracting.
