Credit Bank Limited, a well-established commercial bank, has embarked on a robust growth strategy and is looking for dynamic, proactive Kenyan professionals with strong credentials and relevant work experience to fill the position below to be stationed at its Head Office.


Head of Treasury
 
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Treasury will provide efficient and effective delivery of the full range of treasury products and effectively lead the Assets Liability Management (ALM) to achieve the desired business growth and profitability targets.

Main Duties:
  • Develop and execute strategies for investment of surplus funds in treasury bills, bonds and other money market instruments.
  • Manage the dealing activity end to end so as to ensure that all the Bank’s interests are protected at all times and financial targets are met.
  • Ensure that the Bank meets all external and internal liquidity requirements and that proper contingency plans are in place to address excess and deficient liquidity incidences in line with the Bank’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Effective Capital and solvency management to ensure capital is allocated profitably and that the bank is maintained at strong solvency ratios.
  • Develop innovative treasury products that will enable the bank grow its’ money market and foreign exchange volumes and revenues.
  • Actively identify and market clients with potential to grow revenues from sales of treasury products and services.
  • Ensure that the bank credit limits with counterparties are observed at all times.
  • Build, foster and maintain relationships with counterparties, lenders and other stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the Treasury Function team and their performance with the view of ensuring proper positioning and leveraging of the function’s human resources.
  • Participate in Management meetings as may be appropriate including but not limited to ALCO and others.
Minimum qualification and experience required:
  • University business degree from a recognized institution preferably in Economics, Finance, Statistics or Commerce.
  • A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Professional Certification e.g. CPA /ACCA, ACI (Financial Markets Association)
  • Eight years working experience, 3 of which must have been in a senior role within the Treasury function.
  • Demonstrate skills/know how in dealing, financial analysis and knowledge of financial markets.
  • Good working knowledge of dealing systems.

Head of Marketing & Product Innovation

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, development and implementation of the Bank’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal as well as oversee the development and implementation of support materials and services in the area of marketing, communications and public relations. 
 

Main Duties:
  • Participate in the development, planning and execution of the Bank’s marketing plan, policies and process.
  • Understand the value drivers of the business and identify profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
  • Proactively develop and implement advanced analytical techniques to increase understanding of customers and prospects and identify risks and opportunities in customer behavior.
  • Work closely with the business departments to improve turnover and profitability.
  • Maintains research database by identifying and assembling market information
  • Lead the development of innovative products in line with identified customer requirements through market research to increase market share and bottom line.
  • Influences present and future products by determining and evaluating current and future market trends
  • Provide planning and leadership to the Marketing Department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan.
  • Spearhead the generation of creative marketing initiatives, new promotional ideas and approaches to communicate with our consumer audience.
  • Undertake market research and analysis and produce business plans/recommendations to ensure that all business development opportunities are optimized.
  • Ensure further development of the website and other online platforms in order to enhance direct sales
  • Establish and strengthen partnering relationships with agents, managers, customers and suppliers.
  • Assist in cost analysis of contracted business and generate business cases for conducting business in new markets.
  • Maintain an awareness of external factors which impact the business.
Minimum qualification and experience required:
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing. Graduate degree in a related field is desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the banking or financial sector, 3 of which must be in a senior managerial position.
  • Membership in Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) and MSK accreditation are desirable.
  • Digital Marketing, Media interaction and Creative designing.

  • Should be highly creative and technology savvy
  • Should possess high levels of strategic thinking
  • Strong market research & statistical analysis skills.

  • Experience in leading, motivating, coaching, and develop a team.
  • Financial awareness
  • Must be hands on who can deliver results.
