The Coordinator, Marketing and Communication shall report to the Manager, Strategy Delivery and Coordination

Job Summary: The Officer shall support the business by planning, developing, and implementing a comprehensive and innovative marketing and communication programmes aimed at increasing the awareness and demand of the UON/UNES Products and Services.

Duties and Responsibilities 
 

The duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and implementing UNES Marketing and Communication Strategies in line with the company objectives
  • Developing marketing plans for different business units.
  • Monitoring, evaluation and implementation of the marketing plans and strategies by the business units.
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters.
  • Planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
  • Conduct Marketing Research and Survey
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications
Job Specification:
  • A Bachelors Degree in Marketing Management or equivalent
  • 3 years work experience in marketing/advertising/public relations
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing marketing strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design, edit and proofread to produce quality marketing materials.
  • Good report-writing skills with the ability to compose creative, concise directed copy, which is both informative and accurate.
  • Ability to interpret trends, define problems, conceptualize solutions and convert to practical applications.
  • Proven ability to make presentations to small and large groups.
  • Minimum of C + in KCSE

Manager, Strategy Delivery and Coordination

The Manager, Strategy Delivery and Coordination shall report to the Managing Director
 
Job Summary: The Manager, Strategy Deliver and Coordination shall support the office of the Managing Director to ensure that the strategic objectives are implemented accordingly within the business units.

Duties and responsibilities  

The duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating the development and implementation of Strategic Plan
  • Identifying new strategic opportunities and recommending them to the senior management.
  • Monitoring of the customer perceptions on the current products and services and recommending appropriate interventions to the Senior Management.
  • Management of the Quality Management System
  • Management of Enterprise Risk Framework
  • Monitoring the implementation of Performance Contracting activities.
  • Overseeing the Marketing function of UNES.
  • Monitoring the compliance to legal and statutory regulations.
Job Specification:
  • Masters Degree in Finance/MBA  or Equivalent
  • A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Economics/Finance/Accounting or the equivalent
  • Certified Internal Quality Auditor by KEBS
  • Strong Data Analysis capability using both MS Excel and other Database Statistical Software
  • Ability to interpret trends, define problems, conceptualize solutions and convert to practical applications.
  • At least 6 years relevant experience; 3 of which must be at the Strategic Planning and Monitoring, Performance Contracting and the Coordination of the Quality Management System
  • Good working knowledge in Business  Data Analysis , Interpretation and Presentation
  • Person with high Integrity and Confidentiality
  • Possess  Good Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Possess  the ability to interact with all levels of Management and Employees

Consultancy Manager

The Consultancy Manager shall report to the Chief Manager Consultancy & Partnerships

Job Summary:
 The Consultancy Manager will support the Chief Manager in the execution of consultancy projects and professional training. 


The person will manage the consultancy staff, experts and specialists drawn from the University of Nairobi to ensure timely delivery of assignments with the aim of enhancing the business potential of the unit.

Duties and responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Identification and sourcing for new Consultancy Projects.
  • Ensuring that EOI, RFP, RFQ and Concept papers are prepared and submitted on timely basis.
  • Managing all contracted consultancies and training programmes to ensure efficiency and timeliness in the execution.
  • Marketing of Consultancy Projects and Training Programs.
  • Monitoring the progress of all contracted Consultancy Projects and training assignments.
  • Implementing of Business and Marketing Plans.
  • Monitoring compliance with Statutory and Contractual obligations as set out in MOUs and Contracts.
  • Managing the performance of staff in the consultancy unit.
  • Management of Client Relationships.
  • Liaising with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the Chief Manager, Consultancy & Partnerships.
Job Specification:
  • Must possess a Bachelor`s Degree preferably in  Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Project Management or equivalent
  • At least six (6) years hands on experience in  consultancy assignments
  • Proven expertise in proposal writing/research
  • Ability to develop budgets and work plans
  • Familiarity with Government and Development partners proposal guidelines
  • Extensive computer  and analytical skills
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualification in monitoring and evaluation is an added advantage
  • Masters Degree is an added advantage.
