Position: Business Controller - East Africa
The purpose of the job: Key
Business Partner to our Commercial team providing support to drive financial
and business performance and supporting Finance Manager where necessary.
Reporting to Finance Manager - East Africa, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Planning, budgeting and forecasting. Leading
the business planning cycle processes and reporting working in conjunction
with the various functional teams.
- Business Performance management. Monitoring
business performance, provide decision making support and challenging
commercial teams where necessary.
- Finance back office support. Assist with the
management of the back office activities where necessary including tax
compliance.
- Process and control improvement Provide the
necessary support to ensure compliance with group governance requirements
to promote a strong internal control environment.
Requirements:
- University degree. A Masters level
qualification preferably in Finance will be an added advantage.
- CPA or CIMA qualification.
- 6-8 experience in Finance preferably with
experience in Controlling / Reporting function in a busy FMCG environment.
- Knowledge in Financial operation processes,
planning, accounting, regulations and local GAAP
- Good understanding of ERP accounting systems
(SAP or Oracle)
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing
skills, proactivity and drive for professional development for self and
others
- Excellent Microsoft office working skills
- AP, AR and Treasury experience an added
advantage.
