Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in Project design, strategic
planning, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- Supporting negotiation of partnership
arrangements and contracts; coordinate teaming agreements, Memorandum of
Understandings, and other institutional agreements with partners
- Developing concept notes, proposals and
budgets to drive the achievements of Scope Intervention’s Strategic plan
and its core priorities.
- Mobilizing resources from donors,
philanthropic foundations and other sources,
- Offering technical support and support
capacity development in the field of resource mobilization to the Scope
Intervention staff and providing proactive and timely advice to senior
management on strategic interaction with donors;
- Establishing and maintaining strong relations
with portfolio donors as a foundation for resource mobilization efforts.
This will include gathering intelligence and analyzing key trends in
individual donor policies and plans vis-à-vis Scope intervention;
- Organizing briefings, meetings, visits and
events with donors and prospective donors, coordinating programmatic and
logistical arrangements, draft reports and set action plans for follow-up
- Establishing and building donor confidence in
Scope Intervention through proactive and considered interactions and
through the timely and accurate response to queries and requests;
- Responding to internal and prepare response to
external queries regarding donor contributions
Key Qualifications, Knowledge &
Experience Required:
- At least seven 3 years of experience in
Project design and management with demonstrable success in resource
mobilization for large multilateral or bilateral agencies or international
organizations;
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in development
sciences including Sociology, Development Studies, Anthropology, Community
Development or a related field;
- Master’s degree is an advantage
- Ability to build and manage strategic donor
relations, with sound understanding of the donor financing landscape and
processes;
- Ability to work on performance-based targets
for fundraising;
