Duma Works is recruiting a Construction Project Manager (PM)for one of our clients; a fast growing construction company with two divisions: (I) high-end residential and (ii) industrial.

Must
  • Have a relevant diploma or Bachelor in the construction field from a top notch university
  • Have at least 5 years experience in the industry in the field, ideally in a similar role within a reputable organization
  • Strong mathematical skills & detailed oriented
  • Self-driven & Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Honest, hard working, dedicated and organized
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong Communication and inter personal skills.
  • Excellent oral and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry and its various stages and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities: 

Planning & Budgeting
  • Responsible for the day-to-day decision-making regarding program logic and site activities.
  • Track weekly site progress vs Program of Work.
  • Update weekly Program of Work and take corrective measures when needed.
  • Keep at all time site accounts in order.
  • Prepare bi monthly Budget review and CF forecast .
Client:
  • Manage bi-monthly Site meeting with the Client and the relevant design consultants
  • Report weekly and monthly to the Clients and the management the relevant design consultants
  • Manage all variations, additions and omissions.
  • Ensure client invoicing is completed on time in liaison with the QS and the Finance Department
Subcontractors
  • Identify, negotiate, contract and manage subcontractors in liaison with the Company QS
  • Supervise direct sub-contractors to ensure standards of building performance, quality, costs, schedules and safety are maintained.
  • Control payment to sub-contractors by valuation of completed works in liaison with the Company QS
Procurement:
  • Ensure all site requisitions are planned and submitted on time
  • Review and approve site requisitions
  • Control quality of the supplies
  • Ensure all supplies are received, handled, stored and dispatched as per the Company policies
  • Monitor suppliers Performance
QA / QC:
  • Ensure & Monitor quality of supplies
  • Ensure & Monitor timely delivery of supplies
  • Ensure & Monitor Workmanship of subcontractors
  1. Timely delivery of subcontractors
  2. Communicate to the management any deviation as per required schedule
  • Report promptly to the Technical Director any substandard workmanship to enable appropriate action to be taken.
  • Ensure Cost control as per the LPOs/BQs
HR & HSE:
  • Effectively manage Site Supervisors
  • Manage Labor Subcontractors
  • Ensure that Company Health & Safety regulations are maintained at all times
  • Actively consult with the Company Technical team (Architect, Structural Engineer, M&E Engineer) to solve any issue
Admin & Legal / Regulatory
  •  In charge of obtaining and managing all regulatory approvals
  •  
  • Report to Company Management – daily, weekly and monthly
  •  
  • Ensure implementation of the reporting and processes in all the sites as per the company requirement
