Front Office Receptionist Job in Nairobi Kenya

Our client, a law firm based in Nairobi, is seeking to recruit a front office receptionist to join their dedicated team.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage all front desk operations such as receiving guests, managing incoming calls by forwarding them to relevant staff or taking messages, responding to General emails, amongst other front desk duties
  • Ensure that the office has all the supplies needed e.g. stationery, refreshments, and office cleaning materials, etc
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working office environment
  • File taxes using the iTax system
  • Maintain the office’s petty cash. Perform basic bookkeeping, handling of cash, issuance of receipts and records of financial transactions.
  • Monitor and coordinate the tea girl and rider
  • Maintain an updated Filing system & Contact list of official & personal contacts
  • Arrange and organize appointments / Meetings – maintain a calendar of all appointments / meetings and ensuring that their venues are secured. Following up with reminders and relay new updates to concerned parties
  • Coordinate general maintenance of office equipment - photocopiers and telephones
  • Coordinate mail flow in and out of office open and date stamp all general correspondence arrange couriers for pick-up and delivery
  • General Administrative / Clerical Support to the Team – Job holder will also be required to carry out other various administrative duties for the rest of the team.
Qualifications
  • Front Office Operations Diploma from a certified college
  • 1 – 2 years experience as a Receptionist/Front Office in a Fast Paced business environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in both oral and written English and Kiswahili
  • Computer literate - Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet
  • Accounting knowledge
  • Administrative Skills (Filling, Emails, Internet Research etc.)
