Volunteer Opportunity: Career Counselor
Job Purpose: This is an opportunity for a recent graduate to
utilize his/her skills in career counselling in a career development agency.
- Provides individual and group career
counseling Recommends, administers, and interprets standardized career
assessment inventories.
- Develops and presents workshops and
occupational information to various audiences.
- Maintains effective communication and provides
high quality customer service to clients.
- Creates effective marketing
strategies/materials to increase participation in Career Services
initiatives.
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree in Counselling, Counselling
Psychology, Guidance and Counselling
- Demonstrated ability to work with the youth
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal
supervision
- Ability to be sensitive to issues of diversity
and ability to work in a diverse environment.
- Ability and familiarity with computer
applications.
- Ability to organize work effectively,
conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment
based on an understanding of organizational policies.
Desired
- Completed a tests and measurements course.

Remuneration – this is an internship
position with no salary only lunch and Transport Allowance will be
provided.
We are located in Kitengela and would prefer someone who is living close or easy commuting distance to where the office is.
