Vacancy: Systems Administrator
 
Position Overview: Supports and maintains the Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Windows Server and other applications by providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, administration, account management and resolution of software and hardware issues as well as develops new system designs. 

This position reports to the Manager, Managed IT Support Service, Information Technology Services.
 

Required Qualifications:
  • BSc. Information Systems or Computer Science.
  • One year of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or newer administration experience.
  • One year of Microsoft Active Directory 2007 or newer administration experience.
  • One year of Microsoft Exchange 2010 or newer administration experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux
  • The ability to work independently and with teams.
  • A customer oriented attitude and desire to help others succeed
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Personal and professional integrity which communicates a sense of mission, leadership, and ability to self-start.
  • Committed to providing quality customer service.

  • A demonstrated positive and proactive approach in identifying problems, creating innovative solutions and managing projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in a technology/computer field.
  • Bachelor degree in a technology field.
  • Microsoft or other widely recognized technology certifications.
  • PowerShell scripting experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows 7/8 and all MS Office products.
Position Expectations:
  • Install, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, administer and upgrade Microsoft Windows Server operating systems with all required server roles on assigned servers.
  • Install, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, manage users and upgrade Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Install, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, manage users and upgrade Office 365 including Zimbra mail stores.
  • Install, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, manage users and upgrade other enterprise applications and systems as assigned.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining backup and recovery procedures and processes.
  • Maintain a Change Management log for changes made in the production environment.
  • Assist other System Administrators as needed.
  • Resolve Help Desk tickets as assigned.
  • The Systems Administrator employee will also complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Manager , Managed IT Support Service.
