Vacancy: Brand Manager - Electronics 

Job Description: Brand Manager- Electronics


The Brand Manager will be responsible for on boarding and managing the relationship with Top Brands (Samsung, LG, Philips, Sony etc…).
 
Taking the lead on one of the company key focus, the brand manager will be responsible for the P&L of his accounts. 

He will have to bring an exceptional growth for the sales volume, the margin and the conversion rate of brands he will handle. 

He will be responsible for the decisions he makes and will have to monitor his performance.
 
Your detailed Job Description will include:
  • On-boarding key Top Brands on Jumia
  • Finding the most appropriate logistic model for each brand to get their products online
  • Negotiate with brands to have them participating to Jumia key commercial events
  • Providing brands with sourcing and pricing recommendations to increase their performance
  • Sending brands performance updates to enhance their visibility on their business with Jumia
  • Interacting with all countries to set up the right local commercial strategy (product, pricing, place, promotion)
  • Meeting the brand official distributors to ensure a constant supply
  • Building a very friendly user interface to display brands universe and products
  • Establishing plans that will be presented to the top management on the strategic decision you make (which price point do we target for this brand for this category, which marketing strategy I want to implement, which products do I want to source, what will be the upcoming best sellers)
  • Managing all the replenishment and inventory tools for stock monitoring
  • You will coordinate all departments to ensure a best in class performance for your account (marketing, shop management team, category managers, custom experts, etc…)
As a whole, you have to find out the right partners to bring Jumia performance to the next level. You will manage the account with a clear commercial strategy for their assortment and you will have to on-board your brands on Jumia key commercial events.

  • Ability to analyse large data sets to make strategic decisions

  • Getting the weekly promotional material from the suppliers
  • Negotiating costs and payment terms
  • Getting new product releases as soon as the suppliers have them.
  • Shortlisting and prioritizing key suppliers.
  • Finding new suppliers and try to source and sell every product within your category.
  • Monitoring stock levels and planning the purchasing policy well in advance.
  • Having an accurate knowledge of competition: who they are, what prices they have and their products.
  • Analyzing consumer buying behavior and predicting future trends
  • Producing Monthly reports.
  • Liaising with various teams within the organization to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
Qualifications and Experience
