Duties
and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will be deployed as Clerk of Works for buildings under construction or as a Supervisor on alterations/repairs of existing buildings.

Architectural and Engineering drawings, comparing their details with work on

For
appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Served
in the grade of Inspector (Buildings) or in a comparable and relevant
position in the Public Service for at least three (3) years;
- A
Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering or Construction Technician
Certificate Part III or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a
recognized institution; and
- Shown
merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities
Corporate Communications will be the
head of the unit and will be responsible to the Secretary/CEO for all Corporate
communications and related matters and will report to the Secretary/CEO for the
following:-
- Developing communication and marketing
strategy for promoting the Commission programs as well as positioning the
Commission brand in the market.
- Carrying out marketing research to identify
market needs that will inform the Commission’s programs’ development,
improved service delivery, and identify opportunities for the Commission
growth.
- Organizing communication and marketing events
to the various publics of the Commission such as promotions, press
conferences, sponsored programmes.
- Developing all necessary communication and
marketing tools and branding materials for the Commission including
newsletters, brochures and documentaries.
- Overseeing the development and maintenance of
the Commission Website.
- Building and sustaining sound relations with
all stakeholders.
- Communicating and disseminating Commission
policies, strategies and programmes.

from a university recognized in Kenya.
- Membership to the professional body of
journalists.

The Manager, Supply Chain Management
will report to the Director General/CEO and will be responsible for the

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director, Accreditation and
Quality Assurance Services (DAQA will be the Head of Accreditation and Quality
Assurance Division and will be responsible to the Director General/CEO in
carrying out the following duties and responsibilities:
- Planning and executing the activities of the
Division
- Receiving and processing applications for
registration
- Setting out standards as stipulated in the
third schedule of the science, technology and innovation regulations
- Determining eligibility for Accreditation as
set out in the accreditation criteria
- Registering, licensing, and regulating researchers
in the scheduled sciences
- Inspecting, monitoring and evaluating research
institutions and programmes to verify their relevance and compliance to
quality assurance
- Initiating the vetting of applications for
registration and accreditation
- Updating the database for accredited and
registered institutions, bodies and individuals
- Making recommendations for the registration
and accreditation of institutions, bodies and individuals in accordance
with the established criteria
