We seek to recruit a qualified person to fill the following position:

System Analyst
 
Reporting to the Systems Administrator, the Systems Analyst, will be responsible for examining existing IT systems and business models, analysing systems requirements, undertaking product development and assist in configuring and testing feasible solutions. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Stima Sacco’s business needs, analyze data and processes, evaluate new and existing systems to determine gaps and fits, and translate business requirements to technology specifications.
  • Facilitate and participate in application design sessions of highly complex business requirements; propose and formulate project solutions that align with future business strategy, meet current business requirements and considers technological architectural standards
  • Write detailed functional and technical specifications and prepare other systems and functional documentation such as flow charts, use cases, and activity diagrams that clearly defines business and systems requirements
  • Coordinate and participate in the QA testing process; work with programmers and System Administrator to analyze resolve issues.
  • Provide consultative support to business units, project teams, act as liaison between user areas and technology, keep all parties informed of status, and effectively coordinate problem resolution.
  • Coordinate, communicate and verify implementations.
  • Document requirements or contribute to user manuals
  • Provide thought leadership on continuously improving development practices
Skills and Qualifications
  • Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Professional qualification of in Software Development
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business requirements management system analysis and design.
  • Solid understanding of system integration methods such as web services and xml
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of Agile development practices
  • Experience in relational databases, Languages such as C/SIDE programming, .Net, visual Basic etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization
  • Highly experienced in leading cross functional solution definition sessions with business and technology teams
  • Effectively served as a liaison between IT and user community in a consultative role in translating business and systems needs into solution requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure and or until problem is solved.
  • Must work with little or no supervision

Marketing Manager
 
We are seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated individual to the position of Marketing Manager to propel the Society brands to new heights.
 

The role of the job holder will require someone with a breadth of skills across brand marketing, branch management and product development with great insight and intuition. In particular the job holder will be a person with an interest in a member based Society, with a strategic outlook and exemplary execution skills.
 
Reporting to the Chief Manager Business Development and working closely with the Branch Managers, the key responsibilities will be to:
  • Develop and provide leadership in implementation of marketing and communication strategy to achieve the Society’s business and corporate strategies;
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the Society’s marketing vision and strategy;
  • Lead the marketing function and identify, analyse and implement new business growth opportunities;
  • Implement marketing, advertising and promotional tasks and carry out effective management of the marketing, advertising and promotional activities in the Society;
  • Support creation of data-driven, dynamic, ‘voice-of-the-customer’ marketing strategies and tests that deliver against Return on Investment (ROI) targets through a segmented customer base across diverse marketing channels;
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across TV, print, radio, outdoor, digital and social media marketing channels;
  • Provide feedback into product development and service offers; participate in their development and collaboration to create, launch and track performance of product and service offerings in our markets;
  • Prepare annual marketing plans and forecasts for the Society;
  • Evaluate marketing effectiveness by allocating, managing and monitoring advertisement and promotion budgets periodically;
  • Direct and analyse regular market research in order to develop insights for product development, brand positioning and brand equity growth;
  • Carry out market intelligence and surveys, accelerate growth in membership and product uptake;
  • Execute and integrate online and offline marketing initiatives including mass media, email, print, direct mail, social media, company websites, branch awareness and other marketing initiatives.
Leadership
  • Contribute to maintenance of a strong organisation culture, values and reputation to the clients, staff, suppliers, partners and regulators;
  • Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel through effective performance management, team leadership, coaching and mentorship.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Society Savings and Credit products available to customers;
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other related fields from a recognised university;
  • Chartered Institute of Marketing professional qualification;
  • A Master’s degree in a Business related field is an added advantage;
  • Six (6) years of relevant experience, three (3) of which should be at a supervisory level, preferably in a financial institution;
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence;
  • Strong execution skills with proven experience in multi-project execution and management;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with diverse cross functional teams;
  • Demonstrate a high level of independent judgement;
  • A start-up personality, entrepreneurial, ambitious, independent, detail oriented, proactive, flexible and resilient;

Research Manager
 
Reporting to the Chief Manager Business Development, the Research Manager will be responsible for selecting the appropriate research methodology and supporting techniques in order to oversee business planning, client service, project management and offer leadership to the team in order to achieve business strategies and objectives. 


The job holder will facilitate completion of research assignments as well as collate and analyse market research/industry data in order to provide insights and business intelligence needed to extract data for business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Closely work with both in-house teams and research agencies in designing qualitative and quantitative research plans for all products in all stages of the product life cycle;
  • Design research questionnaires, and moderator guides and oversee the fieldwork initiatives;
  • Manage all aspects of qualitative and quantitative consumer research for products including research regarding to product awareness, positioning, benefits, marketing communications and product patronage;
  • Facilitate and benchmark research findings in the financial services, banking and Sacco industry and other sectors so as to develop robust future growth plans;
  • Provide information on various customer segments and identify opportunities for growth and tracking the society’s market share in these segments against regional and global market trends;
  • Analyse data and report writing for internal staff research requirements, carry out research on issues raised by the departmental/functional heads;
  • Ensure that the industry research knowledge is integrated from projects, desk-top research and other sources in order to obtain a consolidated competitive offering;
  • Undertake varied ad hoc secondary research based on business needs;
  • Carry out intelligence research to inform the business on current activities in the market;
  • Interpret data, write reports, summarise key findings and make actionable recommendations;
  • Carry out inward facing research in data mining and analysing existing MIS data in order to get trends that shall be utilised for business development.
Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics or any other related fields;
  • Post graduate Diploma in Marketing will be highly recommended;
  • A Master’s Degree in Business related will be an added advantage;
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in Marketing, Brand Management, Advertising or Market Research in a reputable organisation;
  • Good working knowledge of analytical and statistical tools to analyse and interpret data such as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and/or SPSS/SAS software;
  • Experience in identifying and managing research vendors;
  • Sound knowledge of interpreting and analysing financial and non-financial information;
  • Must be a strategic thinker with strong organisational and analytical skills;
  • Attention to details with ability to summarise detailed reports without losing the bigger picture;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Honesty, integrity, reliability, consumer empathy, curiosity, problem solving ability, ability to think on feet, proactive, confidence, high level of accuracy;
  • Ability to work independently on projects in a fast paced environment;
  • Highly motivated, flexible and adaptable nature.
