Implement the Bookstore’s Annual
Plans and Budget to support Business Goals and Objectives.
·
Direct and Supervise Staff to achieve
the set Performance Targets.
·
Implement Bookstore’s Credit
Administration
·
Implement Bookstore’s Sales
Strategies and Activities.
·
Carry out Market Research and price
surveys.
·
Coordinate shop floor activities and
timely servicing of customer orders.
·
In-charge of customer care operations
·
Analysis of daily sales and
preparation of Management Reports.
·
Any other duties assigned by the
Bookstore Manager
Job Specification:
·
A Degree in Commerce / Business
Administration or equivalent, with specialization in Marketing or Economics or
Finance or related discipline
·
At least 3 years experience in
Management Position in a busy Commercial Organization.
·
Ability to work under pressure with
minimum supervision to meet deadlines
·
Good Communication, Interpersonal and
Analytical Skills.
·
Computer Literate

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities will
include:

Providing Strategic Direction for the
Hospitality Units.
·
Ensuring that the Hospitality units
Objectives are achieved as outlined in the UNES Strategic Plan and Business
Plans.
·
Ensure that the Financial Targets set
for the Hospitality Units are achieved.
·
Ensure product and services provided
are of high quality and professional standards
·
Ensure high standards of hygiene and
safety
·
Monitoring of the quality management
system to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
·
Setting of performance targets,
monitoring , coaching of staff to meet their performance targets
·
Ensure accountability and proper
systems and controls
·
Identification of staff training
needs.
·
Collection of debts
·
Ensuring compliance with statutory
obligations in the unit
Job Specification:
·
Masters in Business Administration
/Hotel and Restaurant Management or equivalent
·
Undergraduate Degree in Hotel
Management
·
5 years experience in Senior
Management Position in a Busy 4/5 Star Hotel/Restaurant.
·
Experience in Management of
Institutional Catering Services will be an added advantage.
