Position Overview: The Stores Assistant it is responsible for the receiving/ issuance of products to and from the store respectively, facilitating for buying of required items that are not in stock and maintaining records of all stores operations.

Being the Stores Assistant, you are
Directly Accountable for;
1. Product Issuance
- Issue out materials from stores as per the
approved requisitions and as assigned by stores supervisor;
- Ensure proper records are maintained on the
movement of products to and from production as well as to the final
consumer.
- Raise purchase requisitions for items not in
stock.
- Label all products accordingly in preparation
for dispatch.
- Confirm that documents (LPO & Sales order)
are matching before issuing goods.
- Follow up on pending orders as per assigned
sales orders to ensure that it is processed.
2. Receipt of Incoming Materials
- Preparation of Purchase Requisitions.
- Arrange products received in the allocated
rack.
- Ensure that the GRN and the Bin cards are well
updated upon receiving products.
- Communicate on emails on any goods issued and
returned by client.
3. Storage of Products
- Monitor on expiry dates of products and inform
the Stores Supervisor of any expiry that needs to be planned for
- Ensure that products are well and properly
arranged in the racks to avoid breakages or accidents.
- Participate in stock take exercise as guided.
4. Administration
- Maintain all records as guided by the
operating procedure: Bin cards, Requisitions, GRN, Production Register, Internal
system are similar to physical stock count.
- Ensure that the store is at all times
maintained clean and neat.
- Ensure no an authorized persons are in the
store.
Perform other related duties or
assignment as directed.

Qualifications
Academic Qualifications
- Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies, or
- Minimum 2 years’ Stores Management experience.
