Storekeeper Job in Nairobi, Kenya

Our client, a 3 star hotel located in Garden Estate, off Thika road is seeking to recruit the following position:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will be in-charge of inventory management in the hotel. 

Suitable candidates MUST have the following minimum qualifications:

  • A diploma in Store keeping or procurement from a recognized institution
  • 5 years work experience in the hospitality industry 2 of which should be in the stores management.
  • Experience in use of stock management software
  • Good organizational and communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
  • Receiving  and inspecting  all incoming hotel materials and reconciling with purchase orders
  • Responsible for day-to day checking of the storage facilities for upkeep and hygiene
  • Responsible for storing of both food & beverage and operational stock.
  • Following standards for issuing and receiving stock within the stores
  • Coordinating  with the Finance Officer on operational control and restocking levels
  • Any other business as may be assigned by management
