Background: OGRA Foundation is a tax-exempt Kenyan
Non-governmental Organization registered in 2004. It is one of Western Kenya’s
leading Non-Governmental Organizations active in 4 counties, namely Kisumu,
Vihiga, Siaya and Homa-bay.
This program is part of a US
Government initiative against HIV in Kenya that receives funding from PEPFAR
through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
OGRA Foundation is currently looking
for able professional to fill the following position in the organization:
Program Officer
The position is based in Kisumu with
frequent travels to Muhoroni Sub-County.
Overall Job Function: The Program Officer will plan and perform
day-to-day implementation of HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment and TB Services
at supported facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementation of HIV Prevention
Care and Treatment and TB services at supported facilities
- Provide on-going supervision of TB and HIV
Prevention, Care and Treatment Programs
- Co-ordinate mentorship of facility staff
- Participate in quality assurance/quality
improvement of TB and HIV programs
- Assist in program monitoring and evaluation
- Preparation of budgets, work plans, reports
and other technical papers
Requirements:
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery or
Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- You should be registered by the relevant
Professional Board.
- At least 3 years’ experience in HIV
programming
- Familiarity with the operations of Ministry of
Health in Kenya
- Clinical experience of HIV medicine
- Experience working with an NGO will be an
added advantage.
