Job Title: Social Media and Marketing Intern

Job Description:
 This position would offer assistance with the Marketing, digital media and Public relations functions.

The Social Media and Marketing Intern will have an exciting opportunity to create and build the organisation’s marketing and online presence by implementing various marketing initiatives. 

They will be responsible for serving as the face of LCS to our Online Community, responding to and engaging fans in conversation, and responding to inquiries on Social Media Accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube & Google+). 

They will also be responsible for offline marketing, PR and events coordination.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and result oriented professional possessing integrity, good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, be a self-starter, team player, have excellent IT, analytical and numerical skills as well as excellent commercial sense and interest in business. 

They will also need to have a clear understanding and be able to work in the following digital and print Marketing channels defined as: Websites, Content Creation/Management, Advertising, Social Media Marketing.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing strategy and execution.
  • The creation of signage, mock ups, e-mail campaigns, e-flyers, on line promotion, etc.
  • Actively engage clients and potential clients on Social media including contribute to blogs, Facebook and Twitter pages.
  • Grow the participation on social media platforms and company ranking on online searches.
  • Distribution or delivery of marketing materials
  • Fulfillment of marketing offers
  • Performing analysis of marketing and sales data
  • Seek and analyse competitor information including marketing and sales materials
  • Entering contact information into contact management systems
  • Maintaining and tracking reports of public relations activities
  • Perform social media market research
  • Collect and analyze marketing data to develop and adjust marketing plans
  • Assist in marketing and public relations projects with outside vendors/partners
  • Maintain good client relations through professionalism in all functions of customer service
  • Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications, Attributes & Experience:
  • College student/graduate majoring in marketing, advertising or communications desired
  • Familiarity with all aspects of social media
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong writing and speaking skills
  • Ability to communicate and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Basic Photoshop and Illustrator skills preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Highly organized and task oriented
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
