The Council of Legal Education is
established under the Legal Education Act, No. 27 of 2012 of the Laws of
Kenya.
The core functions of the Council of
Legal Education are to regulate legal education and training, to license and
supervise legal education providers; conduct Bar Examinations; and to advice
the Government on matters relating to legal education and training.
In order to efficiently and effectively deliver its functions, the Council
wishes to recruit a full time high calibre staff in the following
position:-
Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Nairobi
Overall purpose of the job: Reporting
to Senior Accountant, the successful candidate will perform the day to day
processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable transactions and provide
administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office
operations.

- Prepare payment vouchers
- Receive, receipt and account for revenue
- Generate invoicing to clients.
- Process petty cash payments
- Maintain filing systems for accounting
documents and file all financial records,
- Prepare cheques for authorization
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in a business fields with CPA II
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance an
added advantage
- Must be computer literate with emphasis on
accounting packages;
- 3 year experience
- A team player and high level interpersonal
skills;
- Person of high integrity
Salary Scale
Basic Pay: 40,250 x 2,012.50 to 42,262.50 x 2,012.50 to 44,275 x 2,012.50 to 46,287.50 x 2,012.50 to 48,300 x 2,012.50 to 50,312.50 x 2,012.50 to 52,325 x 2,012.50 to 54,337.50 x 2,012.50 to 56,350 x 2,012.50 to 58,362.50
House Allowance: Kshs.28,000
Commuter Allowance: Kshs.6,000
