Position: Accountant (Full Time)

Duties and Responsibilities: Working under the supervision of the Finance & Administration Manager, the Accountant will carry out any and all functions of the Accounts department.
These include but are not limited to:
- Posting of vouchers
- Reconciliations
- Preparation of cheques
- Banking
- Petty Cash management
- Cash advance management (reconciling staff IOU
amounts)
- Supporting operational departments and
administrative functions through provision of accounting guidance,
clarification and correction
Qualifications and Competencies
Required:
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant
field (Finance & Accounting / Administration)
- CPA (K) qualifications up to at least Part 2
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- High level computer skills in Excel,
QuickBooks, and Word
- At least 1 year of relevant professional
experience
Desirable
- NGO or non-profit experience
- Experience with large donor-funded projects
and their reporting and accounting/admin requirements, especially
agricultural based projects
