recruit a Programme Officer to join the Kenya Field Office team.

The Kenya field office in Nairobi currently implements a number of WASH and Livelihood projects and are seeking to expand our reach to develop more sustainable activities in alleviating poverty.
Purpose of Post
- To support the Programme Manager in
implementing AKF’s development programmes based on AKF’s strategic
priorities.
- To assist in the efficient delivery of
programmes to improve community access to health services, WASH resources
and livelihood activities.
- To carry out effective monitoring and
evaluations of AKF’s programmes and ensure regular reporting and
communication to the Programmes team.

Qualification
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Experience
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in
international programmes in a developing country.
- Experience of working within any of these
development areas: WASH, Maternal Health or Livelihoods.
- Experience of preparing needs assessments for
programmes and developing concept notes.
- Good knowledge and understanding of emergency
work, development and relief issues.
- Knowledge of working with institutional
funders and submitting funding applications.
Skills
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
as well as a fluency in spoken and written English.
Terms: This is a full time position to begin with
immediate start (including a three month probationary period).
