ICAP of Columbia University is working in partnership with the Ministry of Health in Kenya to strengthen HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment services in County and Sub County health facilities.

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF-UK) and the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) have launched an ambitious initiative called ‘Accelerated Children’s HIV/AIDS Treatment ( ACT)’ which aims to double the total number of children on antiretroviral therapy (ART) to 300,000 across ten priority African countries by September 2016.
 
Applications are invited for the following positions:
 

Position: Data Manager - ACT
 
Location: Nairobi with travel to selected ICAP facilities
 
Overall Job Function: Under the supervision of the Director of Monitoring, the Data Manager will be responsible for the capture of all ICAP data, on-going analysis of aggregate and patient level data, and the timely reporting of data to funding agencies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage data files of routine databases that includes; KePMS, DHIS and ICAP Aggregate Management Information system
  • Ensure timely Data collection, collation and reporting of program data on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual data reports to funding agencies
  • Perform Data Cleaning and verify the accuracy of the data before reporting
  • To produce monthly data summaries that will help track and inform program performance
  • Assist in the preparation of data summary presentations
  • Support the implementation of the ICAP patient level electronic medical records system (C-PAD).
Requirements
  • Masters degree or equivalent in Statistics, Computer studies, epidemiology or mathematics;
  • At least 2 years relevant experience and advance skills in MS Access/Excel application development & programming skills; SPSS; MS Office
  • Expert skill level in the use of KePMS & MoH DHIS aggregate databases.
  • Experience in working with MOH systems and HIV-related reports will be an added advantage
  • Strong Data management and analysis skills.
Position: Data Management Officer
 
Location: Nairobi
 
Overall Job Function: Reporting to the Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer- Data Management, the Data Management Officer will provide data management, support high quality, accurate and timely reports.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Data entry of routine monthly and quarterly data
  • Data quality checks against client data from medical records
  • Compilation of monthly reports
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Health Records Information/ Health Information Technology
  • Degree in relevant field will be an added advantage
  • At least 2 years’ experience
  • Familiarity with MOH data collection tools
  • Database management skills and ability to use statistical software.
