Our client The Brooke East Africa is
an animal welfare charity whose mission is to improve the welfare of working
donkeys, horses and mules.
The Brooke currently seeks to recruit
an Administrative and Logistics Officer for an 8 months’ national appointment
and a Finance Officer for a 2 year national appointment, based in Nairobi with
possibility of extension.
Administrative & Logistics Officer
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Operations and administrative support, ensure
office premises are well maintained and provided with essential services
- Ensuring quality in logistical support, office
administration and provision of efficient procurement support
- Manage and coordinate vehicles and drivers
currently used by the team ensuring appropriate maintenance and service.
- Act as the security focal point and conduct
regular security and risk assessments for all operational areas to provide
staff and visitors with regular security briefings and updates and ensure
that all staffs adhere to security policies and procedures
Summary of Qualifications
- At least first Degree (Bachelors) in Business
Administration or equivalent in technical studies in business
administration or operation management.
- Minimum 3-years’ experience working with an
international NGO in similar role.
- Previous experience in Administration,
Logistics including Procurement and Security
Finance Officer
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provision of Finance Management support by
ensuring internal financial procedures, systems, policies and controls are
applied and complied with
- Assisting to conduct internal audits of
partners to ensure adherence to all financial standards and controls,
grant agreements and local legislation
- Giving partnership support and ensuring
financial accountability
- Provision of Human Resources administration
support
- Coordination and communications support to
ensure efficient information flow
Summary of Qualifications
- At least First Degree (Bachelor) in Business
Administration, Finance and Accounting or other related area of studies
- Accounting skills and with CPA III preferred
- Minimum 2-years’ experience working in
development sector such as NGO with strong administrative and financial
management skills..
