The company is seeking to recruit an Intern to join the Human Capital Department to be based at Head Office – Nairobi.
 
Job Title: Human Capital Intern

Main Purpose of the Job:
 The Human Capital Intern’s job entails providing a comprehensive administrative support of day-to-day human capital operations, and ensuring the accuracy of employee data records, as well as assisting the Human Resource Officer and Head of Human Capital as needed.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and updating of staff records in hard copies using the index filling system method.
  • Conducts an audit of existing files and make follow up on missing documents.
  • Assist in drafting of all department letters and contracts.
  • Assist in management of staff data related to confirmation dates, end of contracts and staffing changes for all the months.
  • Updating of staff information in Human Resource Management Information Systems.
  • Generating reports on various aspects relating to staff e.g. exits & leave numbers.
  • Assist in ensuring that all staff have up to date Job descriptions.
  • Correspondence management for both incoming and outgoing departmental mails.
  • Responding to staff/managers enquiries in a timely manner.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
  • Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • At least one year of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of the in country employment laws.
Required Competencies:
  • Excellent Teamwork/Collaboration ability.
  • Possess high sense of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent Planning, Organizing/Work Management Skills & Attention to details.
  • Pleasant personality, self-driven and able to work under minimum supervision.
