our company;
Fleet Manager
Reporting to the General Manager
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for effective running of the fleet and ensuring that laid down standards of service are maintained at all times
Key responsibilities include:-
- Overall in-charge of the fleet
- Tracks feedback and gathers data from
customers in order to improve efficiency
- Maintain and update vehicle inventory in
liaison with the Workshop Manager to ensure trip targets are achieved.
- Manage departmental staff and ensure a high
degree of motivation, efficiency and discipline.
- In liaison with the Workshop manager ensure
vehicles are properly maintained.
- Maintenance of the fleet management system and
generation of reports.
Qualifications and Abilities
- University degree in relevant field from a
recognized institution
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a
similar position.
- Good Management, communication and leadership
skills
- Strong analytical skills, ability to make
decisions and to solve problems.
- Ability to work long and odd hours and meet
strict deadlines.
Workshop Manager
Reporting to the General Manager
The Workshop Manager will be
responsible for the effective running of the workshop and optimal utilization
of assets
Key responsibilities include:-
- Ensuring all trucks are well maintained and
down times minimized.
- Developing a preventive maintenance schedule
for the trucks.
- Manage expenditure and providing monthly cost
Analysis reports. Provision of technical support and solution
finding.
- Liaise with procurement department on stock
planning and procurement of spares.
- Accident management and handling of related
emergencies.
Qualifications
- University Degree in relevant field
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a
similar position
- Prior experience in dealing with Heavy
Commercial vehicles
- Good communication, management and leadership
skills
Senior Mechanics
Reporting to the Head Mechanic
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing preventive maintenance inspections
and timely repairs.
- Attends to service calls for emergency
breakdowns.
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
- Supervise junior mechanics.
Qualifications
- Must be a holder of a Diploma or Grade II
Mechanic Certificate from a recognized institution
- Experience in maintenance of Renault and
Mercedes Benz (ACTROS).
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a
similar position
Truck Drivers (10)
Reporting to the Transport Officer
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain driving log, preparation of vehicle
performance reports.
- Experience in Renault and Mercedes Benz
(ACTROS)
- Maintain vehicle in serviceable and clean
condition
Qualifications
- Valid Driving license.
- Valid Artic certificate.
- Valid Good Conduct Certificate.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial driving.
- A high school certificate will be of an added
advantage
