Court Clerk Job in Kenya

Our Client, based in Nairobi and Embu Counties is seeking to recruit an experienced Court Clerk.

Reports to:
 Advocate

Role Objective: The Court Clerk performs clerical duties under the direction of the Advocate and ensures that all information with regard to client information and court cases are up to date at all times.

Responsibilities

  • A proactive individual with the ability to draft correspondence for the Advocate under supervision.
  • File Court pleadings in the Court Registry
  • Update all the relevant calendars and diaries of the Advocate with current and correct client information giving details of court cases to be called. 
  • Record court proceedings and defendants’ pleas accurately and give feedback to the Advocate.
  • Record case dispositions, arrangements made for payment of court fees and court orders
  • Represent the company in court and write notes on cases of interest to the organization.
  • Open new client files
  • Work closely and efficiently with team members’ to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the Advocate

Qualifications
  • KCSE Certificate
  • A Diploma in Law from a Recognized Institution
  • Certificate of good conduct
  • At least 2 years of experience in the same capacity with a good track record

  • An individual of high integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality
