One Year Renewable Contract

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive potential clients, conduct initial assessment, assist clients in completion of applications and prepare loan analysis and recommendations
  • Oversee mobilization of youth groups, loan appraisal and disbursements of loans to youth individuals and groups.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluation of loans given to youth groups
  • Carry out trainings to youth
  • Supervise other credit officers in the department plus officers in the field
  • Update on monthly basis the repayments made by each group in assigned constituency from the bank statements of the collections accounts;
  • Follow on problematic Groups and Constituencies and prepare monthly status report for each Constituency;
  • Responsible for system input and maintenance of Loans, credit analysis, security documentation and maintenance, preparation of letters of offer and reports
  • Make field visits to non-performing Constituencies and Groups and provide required Advisory and remedial services as and when required.
Qualifications
  • A first degree in Business Related Field from a reputable university specialized training in credit or Micro Finance will be an added advantage
  • A master’s degree in a business discipline will be an added advantage
  • At least 3 (three) years’ experience in credit , preferably in a Microfinance Finance Institutions
  • Ability to manage all aspects of lending cycle for the Fund’s lending products
  • Previous experience in working and handling Sharia products will be an added advantage
  • Possession of good analytical and reporting skills
  • Willingness to travel to remote rural areas, passion and eagerness to assist and help empower the most marginalized youth across the constituencies.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills to interact with key stakeholders including senior government officials
  • Possess good leadership skills , with ability to manage others
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines is mandatory
  • Exposure to computerized financial systems and experience in public sector accounting
  • Have passion and eagerness to assist and help empower the most marginalized youth across the country and
  • Honesty, integrity and creativity are a must.
