Our client, a law firm in Nairobi is looking to fill the following position: 
 
Administrative Assistant 
 
This position will be responsible for offering Personal Assistant services , which will include; preparing legal documents; proof reading documents; dispatching mail; reviewing matters for bring up; planning the supervisors diary and ensuring that the intray is clean; assisting the supervisor to manage tasks and meet their targets;

Required qualifications, skills and attributes:
  • Degree in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration 
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a similar position 
  • Must be over 26 years of age 
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills combined with a high level of initiative and detail orientation 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing 
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines 
  • Must personable with a professional demeanour

Human Resource Assistant
 
This position will be responsible for offering maintaining staff files; compliance; coordinating performance appraisals, training and staff welfare; documenting procedures & manuals and enforcing them; equipment management

Required qualifications, skills and attributes:
  • Degree in HR, Social studies 
  • Diploma in Human Resource 
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar position 
  • Must be over 32 years of age 
  • Possess excellent organizational skills combined with a high level of initiative and detail orientation 
  • High level of confidentiality 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing 
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines 
  • Must be personable with a professional demeanour

Company Secretary 
 
This position will be responsible for incorporation of companies, NGOs, Societies; registration of business names; statutory compliance; business operational licensing ( local authority & sectorial); reorganisations and reconstructions; and other company secretarial duties
 
Required qualifications, skills and attributes: 
  • CPS part II 
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in a consulting secretarial environment or a large institution 
  • Must be over 28 years of age 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent knowledge of corporate, regulatory and company law, rules and norms. 
  • Ability to work independently and meet targets 
  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented and personable with a professional demeanour

Advocate (Associate) 
 
This is an associates position in the Conveyancing and Commercial department.
 
Required qualifications, skills and attributes:
  •  LLB ( upper division) degree from a recognized institution 
  • At least a grade B in KCSE 
  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya 
  • At least 3 years robust experience in Commercial Law 
  • Must be over 26 years of age 
  • Works well in an environment with firm deadlines; results oriented 
  • Perform multiple tasks effectively 
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Strong analytical skills required 
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters 
  • Possess advanced skills in customer service as they relate to legal concepts and provides effective solutions 
  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented and personable with a professional demeanour
  • Excellent communication skills necessary to interact with other lawyers and clients
Advocate (Senior Associate) 

This is a Senior Associate position in the Conveyancing and Commercial Department
 
Required qualifications, skills and attributes: 
  • LLB ( Upper division) degree from a recognized institution 
  • At least a grade B in KCSE 
  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya 
  • At least 5 years robust experience in a Commercial environment
  • Diverse practical experience in commercial and conveyancing
  • Must be over 30 years of age 
  • Works well in an environment with firm deadlines; results oriented 
  • Perform multiple tasks effectively 
  • Able to work independently and meet set targets 
  • Strong analytical skills required 
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters 
  • Possess advanced skills in customer service as they relate to legal concepts and provides effective solutions 
  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented and personable with a professional demeanour 
  • Excellent communication skills necessary to interact with other lawyers and clients
