are inviting applications for the position of: Project Manager (Early
and Forced Child Marriage) (Because I am a Girl) to be based in Kisumu.
The
position is a two-year fixed term contract and the position holder will report
to the Program Unit Manager based in Kisumu with a matrix technical and project
reporting line to the Program Manager based at the Country Office.
Purpose
of the Job and Key Responsibilities: The
Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of
specific Plan Kenya flagship project/s and ensure that such projects develop
models that can be replicated, scaled up and contribute to county and national
policies and interventions, specifically on early and forced child marriage,
gender-based violence and harmful traditional practices that affect young women
and girls.
Qualifications
and Experience:
- Degree
in management related issues and community development or other equivalent
plus post graduate qualifications desirable in a relevant professional
discipline.
- 7
years relevant experience in community development/child protection/education/gender
work, with a minimum of 4 years at a supervisory/ managerial level.
