1.0 Introduction
The University of Nairobi Alumni
Association (UONAA) was founded by the UON Alumni in 2005 with a vision of
becoming a leader in promoting active, visible leadership in the community and
to foster interaction between alumni and the students of the University of
Nairobi and the Industry.
To achieve this vision, the
Association is looking for skilled, dynamic and talented persons to assist
in the growth and development of the Association.
2.0 The Position
The successful candidate will report
to the Board of Directors and will be expected to be in charge of
- Policy and Strategy Formulation;
- Overall In-Charge of the Office
Operations;
- Resource Mobilization and Proposals
Development;
- Fund-raising and seeking donations for the
Association;
- Ensuring that statutory and legal requirements
are implemented;
- Implementing Executive Committee
resolutions;
- Protocol and Public Relations function and
receiving the Association’s guests;
- Link person between the industry,
local/international Chapters and the Association.
3.0 Key Requirements
Applicants must be holders of a
Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations,
Management or equivalent qualifications; PhD will be an added advantage.
They must possess excellent
interpersonal Communication Skills/Public Relations and a good understanding of
the Alumni Affairs in a university setting.
In addition, they should have a track
record in fundraising and friends-raising, project management and demonstrate
hands-on skills in resource mobilization.
They should be Computer Literate.
Applicants who are members of the UoN Alumni Association will have added
advantage.
4.0 Other Requirements

experience in Alumni Affairs

The Purpose: These positions are responsible for a variety of
complex support and coordination activities for the Directorate of University
Advancement (DUA).
They will assist in development,
implementation and management of university wide advancement strategy and
liaison with Development Partners.
The Position: One Executive Assistant will work under the
supervision of Director, University Advancement while the other will serve
under the Deputy Director (Resource Mobilization, Collaborations and
Partnerships).
Scope of Work
The Executive Assistant will perform
the following roles: -
- Coordination of all paper and workflow between
the advancement office and university partners.
- Design, organization and implementation of
administrative systems and procedures and perform all necessary support
duties in the advancement office.
- Serve all the administrative liaison between
DUA and University partners.
- Proofreading, editing and fact checking of
proposals developed.
- Carry out research to effectively and
efficiently synchronize University and partners needs.
- Scheduling meetings and conferences.
- Preparation and distribution of meeting
minutes.
- Any other task assigned from time to time.
Key Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree in Business Management or

possess Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management or Finance and MBA.

The University of Nairobi, through
the Department of Clinical Medicine and Therapeutics, College of Health
Sciences, has received funding from the US Centres for Disease Control and
Prevention to support and implement high quality, equitable, accessible,
sustainable and comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment and support
services in Kenya.
To achieve this objective, the
Project seeks to fill the following positions:
1. Project Doctor - Paediatrics (Paediatrician)

The successful candidates will be
involved in providing higher level PMTCT and paediatric care and treatment
services, training, mentorship, support supervision and quality improvement
among other technical responsibilities.
Key roles and responsibilities will
include
- Provide technical support on the design and
implementation of community and facility based PMTCT and paediatric
prevention, care and treatment activities
- Work to strengthen monitoring and evaluation
of PMTCT and paediatric HIV programs

2. Project Doctor – Internal Medicine (Medical Officer)

The Project Doctor (Internal
Medicine) will be involved in providing high level adult and adolescence care

3. Health Records and Information Officer (HRIO)

Applicants must have a minimum of
C-plus at KCSE and should be in possession of a Diploma in Medical Records and
Information Management from a recognized institution; and at least 2 years work
experience in in health records and information management in a healthcare
environment.
They should be proficient in MS suite
including spread sheets and databases.
Those with training and knowledge of
SPSS, Epi Info or Stata will have a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will develop
and maintain health records infrastructure for routine patient management,
quality improvement and reporting including
- Registration of patients and inputting their
demographic details in the system.
- Filing patients medical records files as per
the Straight Numeric filing system
- Filing laboratory reports and radiological
films in the patient files
- Preparing new medical records files and
retrieval of the same (prior to clinic visits)
- Booking appointments and providing information
for managing defaulter tracing
- Data reconstruction and entry
- Data quality assurance
- Compiling service (CCC, HTC, Laboratory,
Pharmacy and PMTCT) use statistics
- Other duties as may be assigned by Facility Management
from time to time.
