Chief Accountant Job in Kenya

The International Centre for Reproductive Health (ICRH) is an international NGO involved in clinical research and programme implementation in the field of reproductive health in Mombasa.
 
ICRH currently invites applications for the following position:
 

Chief Accountant
 
Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with project managers in preparing and implementing annual project plans and budgets.
  • Ensuring compliance with donors rules and regulations.
  • Monitoring expenditure against the budget and processing vouchers for fund advances.
  • Preparing payroll and ensuring proper statutory deductions and remissions.
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly financial reports on the status of project activities.
  • Monitoring bank balances and reconciliations.
  • Advising project leads on possibilities and constraints
  • Monitoring financial means available to projects and the NGO, processing transfer requests
  • Supervision of cash transactions
  • Fraud prevention
  • Liaising with bank, funding agencies and accountants/ auditors
  • Overall in charge of finance department
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • BComm Degree, CPAK
  • Previous experience working with NGOs and International grants/contracts is required
  • MS Office Suite, Quickbooks and other Accounting packages
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Self -driven
