Our client, an international NGO in quality reproductive health care and family planning wishes to recruit a Community Liaison Intern to foster an environment that supports community involvement, ownership and partnerships with community groups in the organization’s work. 

The role will seek and deliver increased engagement by adolescents and people with disabilities.
 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Working in close collaboration with the Community Liaison Officer (s) to support project administration across the regions
  • Support efficient information exchange across all service delivery channels within the organization
  • File all reports for field activities and meetings.
  • Perform administrative functions that will include ensuring advance requests are timely and orderly.
  • Follow up and ensure all the field teams receive payments each month from Finance.
  • Coordinate information sharing across organizational departments and service delivery channels, including outreach, clinics and social franchising.
  • Coordinate procurement requests for goods and services for the projects.
  • Work closely with the Senior Community Liaison Officer and Community Liaison Officer for effective and efficient coordination of activities.
  • Carry out any other duties as may be directed by the Community Liaison Officers.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelors Degree in Sociology, Arts, Business Administration or other related discipline
  • Candidates with previous experience in a Health related NGO setting will have an added advantage.
  • Project planning for strategic sets of activities
  • A high standard of written and spoken English and Kiswahili
  • Advanced computer skills, experience in MS Word, Excel , Power Point and Outlook essential
  • Ability to multi-task and able to work under pressure
  • Good record keeping skills with the ability to track and follow up on various requests
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks to completion
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Good organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work self-directed and use initiative
  • Trustworthy and responsible
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, good interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of professionalism
