Vacancy: Finance Manager – HASS South Sudan

The Job: We seek to recruit qualified and experienced Finance professional to head the Finance function in our operations in South Sudan. His/her main brief will be to generate financial reports of business unit with integrity and within the required timelines.
This is a senior position which
requires a mature and firm individual to ensure that checks and balances are in
place and adhered to by the other functions.
The position reports to the Country
Manager –South Sudan, with a dotted line to Regional Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities Include;
- Oversee budgeting and Financial planning
process forecasting of the South Sudan business unit (BU)
- Ensure financial analysis and support is
provided to other departments in the BU
- Develop short, medium and long-term financial
plans for the business.
- Project the financial requirements for new and
or existing ventures and advise management accordingly.
- Maintenance of appropriate internal controls
and financial procedures, ensuring adherence of the same by other
functions.
- Management of receivables, payables and
cashflow for the business unit
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance
regarding all financial functions within the business.
- Drive the adoption of International Financial
Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other best International practices within
the business
- Provide coaching and mentor the junior team
members within the business
- Provide month-end and year-end reports as
required to meet critical group-wide deadlines are met.
Desired Qualifications and Experience;
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a
Business-Related field;
- Professional qualification in Finance (CPA-K
or ACCA)
- Excellent knowledge of accounting packages
- Must have working experience of Oracle ERP;
- At least 6 years’ managerial experience in a
large organisation (Annual sales turnover of USD 90 million and above)
- Ability to meet and critical deadlines.
- Good knowledge of regional tax laws and
practice
- Excellent negotiation, Communication and
interpersonal skills
- Team player and capable of working under pressure
